The Associate Analyst will be responsible for the flawless execution and on-time delivery of database-driven marketing initiatives across any of the following communication channels: direct mail, email, text messaging, push notification, and web. A standard for high quality work, and the ability to partner with internal and external teams is key across all functions of this position.

Functional responsibilities
• Audience Selection
o Review audience selection strategy for each marketing initiative provided via the Audience Kick-off deck, and extract recommended audience from the marketing database using a campaign management tool.
o Provide complete instructions that details how the audience data file will be used for personalization and customization of the marketing initiative.
• Email Marketing
o Execute creative and functional testing using the Email Service Provider and rendering tools. Schedule and monitor email sends to pre-defined audience.
o Implement all deliverability measures to build email sending reputation, such as authentication keys, whitelisting, etc.
• Website Content Management
o Audit, gather and document final content assets from internal and external agency teams via approval applications. Coordinate the distribution of final content assets with internal and external stakeholders, and import final content assets and enter new content (or content updates) to a content management system
o Ensure the final assets are created to the proper editorial and CMS guidelines, and coordinate the gathering of the assets for distribution.

Additional responsibilities
• Evaluate process efficiencies and trouble points, and assist the measurement team in measuring content effectiveness
• Maintain documents per requirements of department document management policies and procedures.
• Document the database-driven marketing initiative for future reference, including marketing objective, audience, offers, creative versions and communication channels.
• Contributes to internal and agency intellectual property activities
• Attends and reports back on external learning opportunities

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• At least 1 year of experience in a related field, such as: Marketing Operations, Campaign Management, Email Execution, Data Analysis, or Digital/Database Marketing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• High comfort level with database logic
• Basic knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, or other common coding languages
• Knowledge of any of the following is a plus:
o Campaign Management Tools (ex: Unica, Aprimo-Teradata, SAS, Oracle Siebel, Adobe Campaign/Target)
o Query and Reporting Tools (ex:, Cognos, Business Objects, Brio)
o Data Analytic tools (ex: SAS, SPSS, Adobe Analytics)
o Email Service Providers (ex: IBM Silverpop, ExactTarget, Adobe Campaign)
o Web Content Management tools (ex: Adobe ECM)
